Our wicks are cotton, which is one of the best in the industry! The flat braid style candle wick bends at the tip while burning, resulting in more complete combustion & a cleaner, self-trimming burn. They are pure cotton with a paper braid and are zinc & lead-free!
Our fragrances are made of a combination of natural & synthetic materials and do not contain any phthalates, paraffin, or UV inhibitors.

RED Shed Candles was founded in 2016 in the rural town of Pukekohe by Jo Shortt, whose love for candles and homewares blossomed after raising her four children. Inspired by Aotearoa’s tranquil coastlines, Jo infused her creations with peace, sustainability, and a touch of everyday luxury.
